Empowering Students to Make a ChangeIn the second iteration of Longfellow Middle School's Model United Nation Conference, we strive to spread awareness of real current issues, as well as urge delegates to seek resolutions towards them. Our Crisis and Specialized committees are created to encourage delegates to look into the past and future, into myth and reality, and to rewrite stories that were once set into stone.

Minds in motion. we are the future.
Greetings from the Secretariat
On behalf of the Longfellow Model United Nations Club, we are most ardently delighted to invite you all to the first iteration of the Longfellow Model United Nations Conference. In our second iteration, following a most successful LFMUNC 2021, we truly hope that we can encourage delegates to expound upon diplomatic affairs, educate on current issues, and most importantly, provide a fun and rewarding experience for all. This year, we have the utmost honor of being able to entertain multiple committees, which shall be announced promptly. We invite delegates to tackle these most pressing problems head on, think critically, and engage in fruitful discussion to gain a resolution.
This year we hope to entertain our first in-person conference ever. Our team is working incredibly hard to provide an optimal experience for all of our guests at LFMUNC II. We are also excited to team up with our wonderful teacher sponsor, Mrs. Valentine, our afterschool activities director, Mr. Barrows, and the delegates of our sister school, McLean High School. We are finally most pleased to introduce our conference at its finest yet. Truly, this conference couldn’t have been possible with the hard work from all of our contributors, sponsors (particular shoutout to MUNFinder.com for sponsoring our 2022 conference) and we must applaud the efforts all have made to stand with us in organizing small details to the large plannings. Most of all, we thank all participating schools and individual delegations here with us spending their own Saturday here at LFMUNC debating topics. As the largest middle-schooler led conference in the Greater DC area, we offer the best of experiences in challenging history, exploring the unknown, and encouraging the development of delegates' own innovative solutions for the problems at hand in the world today. That being said, we offer our utmost gratitude to all—for LFMUNC truly couldn’t have been here today without none other than our participants.
All that being said, we are again delighted to finally commence the second Longfellow Model United Nations Conference. Embrace the unexpected, step out and take that voice out of your pocket, be unpredictable, and most importantly, have fun!
Best of luck,
Kathryn Thomas | Secretary General
Brynn Lee | Under-Secretary General
